Lynx Body Spray TV Advert Representation
The main target audience of this advert is aimed at young attractive men aged 20-30, who are aiming to attract young attractive women roughly around the same age group.
The messages being conveyed being the advert is that no matter what situation a male is in they will never get the girl they desire. Only chance they have is to use Lynx Body Spray, which will instantly attract the girl they desire. Examples of this from the Tv advert is when the male actor is ancient Roman or Greek times and he sees what appears to be the women of his dreams. As he is trying to approach this women, far in the background a volcano erupts and causes the town they are in to have serious knock on effects. These knock on effects cause a local shop/stool to fall on this male crushing his chances of talking and or meeting the women he desires. To add effect and to emphasise the dramatic ness of the relevance of lynx body spray the advert continues to flick and switch through of circumstances and situations of where the males chances of meeting this women have been crushed by a certain factor. All examples of the male not getting the female are shot in different timelines, which show that years and years possibly centuries that the simple male had been denied meeting the love of their life to disasters that have appeared in the moment before. Also it shows that this could been avoided if the male would have used Lynx.
This message is convincing because it is portrayed to the male audience that if a male does not use lynx spray, his chances of attracting the opposite sex is almost zero. This would effect the male audience because they will almost be convinced that buying and using lynx spray is essential to attract women.
But there could be some clashings and some negative feedback from this advert because some men would think that they are not attractive if they don’t use lynx spray if they don’t use this spray.
