Stuart Hall - Representation Theory

Stuart Halls theory of representation suggest that all representation are constructed through language, which are made up of codes and different signs and signals that are understood by specific set audiences. He also promotes that stereotypes tend to occur where there are inequalities of power. There can be many examples of this theory. These can be found in film, music videos etc.

This is not interpretted before the start of the episodes but within the series contains stereotypical and racial jokes which link back to generations of black history that black people and cultures can relate to and build a link to laugh and enjoy the series.
